JNVU Jodhpur PhD Admission 2022-23 Eligibility Criteria

• Master’s degree in the respected subject or appropriate discipline, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade from recognized university/institute.
• Candidates having MPhil with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade are also eligible.
• A relaxation of 5% of marks or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the University from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master’s degree prior to 19th September, 1991.

Application Fee

Admission Process

• Admission to different Ph.D. Programme for University shall be made through an Entrance Test (MPET) conducted by the University.
• The candidate will have to obtain minimum 50% marks to be eligible for admission in Ph.D. programme. A relaxation of 5% of marks for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Differently-Abled.
• Qualified candidates, maximum twice the number of seats shall be called for interview.
• NET/SET/NET with JRF Qualified candidates are exempted from the MPET 2022 Examination however they can opt to appear in the MPET 2022 Examination. Online form & Fee are mandatory to fill for NET/JRF/SET Qualified candidates.

Weightage of NET/SET/NET with JRF

Weightage to the NET/SET/NET with JRF will be given as per details below –

• 20 marks will be given to those students who qualified NET JRF within two years on the date of merit preparation by department.
• 10 marks will be given to those students who qualified NET/SET and NET with JRF expired (older than two years) on the date of merit preparation by department.

Merit List Preparation

A common merit will be prepared on the basis of following matrix: –

• {(PG percentage + NET with JRF percentage) /2} +20 marks (fulfilling Point (i) of Weightage mentioned above) OR
• [{PG percentage +MPET (NET with JRF) percentage} /2] +20 marks (fulfilling Point (i) of Weightage mentioned above)
• {(PG percentage +NET/SET/Old JRF holder percentage) /2} +10 marks (fulfilling Point (ii) of Weightage mentioned above) OR
• [{PG percentage +MPET (NET/SET/OLD JRF holder) percentage} /2] +10 marks (fulfilling Point (ii) of Weightage mentioned above)
• (PG percentage +MPET percentage) /2 (excluding NET/SET/JRF)

JNVU Jodhpur PhD Entrance Test MPET 2022 Details

• Duration of Examination: 3 Hrs(180 Minutes)
• No Negative Marking for Wrong Answer
• Entrance Test will contain two parts.
  • Part 1 – Research Methodology
  • Part 2 – Subject Specific
• The paper shall consist of 100 objective type multiple choice questions, 50 questions from each part.
• Qualified candidates shall be called for interview/viva-voce before the DC to discuss their research interest/area.
• The candidate will have to obtain minimum 50% marks to be eligible for admission in Ph.D. programme. A relaxation of 5% of marks for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Differently-Abled.
