Harish Chandra Research Institute – HRI MSc Physics Program

• The Harish Chandra Research Institute, Allahabad conducts MSc program in physics.
• The M.Sc. program is open to students with a Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering.

HRI MSc Physics Admission 2022 Eligibility Criteria & Cutoff

• Students seeking admission to the M.Sc. program should have at least 60% aggregate marks at the bachelor’s degree level.
• For the M.Sc. program in Physics at HRI, candidates with rank up to 200 (i.e., percentile 95.01 and above) in JEST 2022 are eligible to appear for the interview.
• Students admitted to the M.Sc. program in Physics at HRI would be eligible to appear for the interview for admission to the Integrated Ph.D. program at HRI, on completion of the first year M.Sc., provided they have CGPA of 7 or above and have passed all the courses of the first year M.Sc. program.

Selection & Application Process

• Selection for MSc programs will be based on an online interview using video conferencing tools, that each candidate has to appear for. The interviews will be held on June 13, 14, 16, and 17, 2022.
• Please confirm your participation latest by May 13, 2022 by sending an email to physjest@hri.res.in. When you write to physjest@hri.res.in, please send an email id (this must be a gmail id) and phone number where you can be contacted. JEST qualified students should send their JEST rank.

Cutoff & Eligibility

• For the M.Sc. program in Physics at HRI, candidates with rank up to 200 (i.e., percentile 93.80 and above) in JEST 2021 are eligible to appear for the interview. Students seeking admission to the M.Sc. program should have at least 60% aggregate marks at the bachelor’s degree level.
• Students admitted to the M.Sc. program in Physics at HRI would be eligible to appear for the interview for admission to the Integrated Ph.D. program at HRI, on completion of the first year M.Sc., provided they have CGPA of 7 or above and have passed all the courses of the first year M.Sc. program.

• For the M.Sc. program in Physics at HRI, candidates with rank up to 151 (i.e., percentile 97.59 and above) in JEST 2020 are eligible to appear for the interview. Students seeking admission to the M.Sc. program should have at least 60% aggregate marks at the bachelor’s degree level.
• Students admitted to the M.Sc. program in Physics at HRI would be eligible to appear for the interview for admission to the Integrated Ph.D. program at HRI, on completion of the first year M.Sc., provided they have CGPA of 7 or above and have passed all the courses of the first year M.Sc. program.
• You can opt for an interview slot in one of the interview rounds.
