About VITMEE 

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) conducts the Vellore Institute of Technology Master’s Entrance Examination (VITMEE) exam for admissions into M.Tech and MCA courses in the different branches of VIT.

Based on the candidates’ performance in VITMEE exam, they will be called for VITMEE counselling and seat allotment process.

About VITMEE 2023

VITMEE 2023 exam will be conducted on 16 and 23 April 2023. Candidates willing to appear for VITMEE 2023 exam can apply till 31 March, 2023.

VITMEE Eligibility Criteria 2023

Nationality

• Candidates should be of Indian nationality and must have graduated from any Institutions in India.
• Foreign and PIO/ NRI candidates are also eligible to apply separately.

VITMEE 2023 Eligibility Criteria

• A full-time degree from any recognized University/Institute with a minimum aggregate of 60% or first class for MCA and M.Tech. degree programmes.
• Candidates appearing for their final degree exam / final semester exam in the current year are also eligible to apply.
• Consistent Record in X and XII Std.
• Completion of final Semester/year exams before the selection at VIT.

• The above documents should be submitted before 15 August 2023, failing which admission will be cancelled with the forfeit of admission fee.

Placement Requirements

• Industries offering Placement at VIT have stipulated a minimum of 60% Marks for candidates in their undergraduate programmes and in class X and XII.
• An academic gap of maximum two years is permitted.

VITMEE 2023 Exam Timings

Candidate is expected to arrive at the examination hall at least 1 hour before the start of examination, with Admit Card (hard copy). If a candidate does not report on time, he/she is likely to miss the general instructions given in the Exam Hall.

Candidate will not be permitted to enter into examination hall after 10:15 am and 2.15 pm

Candidate will not be permitted to leave the exam hall until 12.30 pm and 4.30 pm, even if the exam were completed

VIT Scholarships

• Qualified Students in GATE will be offered fellowship from AICTE according to AICTE norms.

VITMEE 2023 Application Process

VIT has released the VITMEE application form at the official website. The applicants should apply online in the respective link provided in the website (www.vit.ac.in) by paying a non-refundable application fee of Rs.1200/- (rupees thousand two hundred only, including GST)

Steps to fill VITMEE 2023 Application Form

• VITMEE Registration – Firstly, candidates have to complete the initial registration at vit.ac.in with basic details like name, date of birth, mobile number, gender, and email ID.
• Application form – Fill personal details, upload a scanned photograph, signature and various academic details as required.
• Pay application fee – Make a payment of the VITMEE 2023 application fee.

• Mark Sheets of all semesters/ years wise / consolidated of the qualifying degree examination, up to pre-final/ final year as applicable if result-awaited.
• Qualifying Degree / Provisional Certificate (If degree completed)

• Valid GATE Score Card (If available)

VITMEE 2023 Preparation Tips 

• First go through the VITMEE syllabus. 
• Then plan tour preparation accordingly. 
• There is 80% weightage of the technical subjects in the exam; candidates must focus more on this part. 
• Solve VITMEE mock papers on a regular basis to improve your performance. 

VITMEE 2023 Admit Card

• Admit cards can be downloaded from www.vit.ac.in. Admit Card will not be faxed or sent by post or e-mail personally.
• The candidates must not mutilate the Admit card or alter any entry made therein.
• The Admit card is not transferable to any other person. Impersonation is a legally punishable offence.
• The Admit card will contain your name, registration number, photograph, Signature, your postal address, slot, and date of examination and also the address of your test centre, test schedule and set of instructions for the test.
• The candidate should carefully examine the Admit card once received. Any discrepancy should be immediately brought to the notice of the Director (PG Admissions). mtechadmission@vit.ac.in or mcaadmission@vit.ac.in or +91-416-220 2188.
• Applicants will not be permitted to write the test without a valid admit card. The Admit Card should be presented to the invigilators at the test centre for verification.
• The candidates must sign the attendance sheet at the appropriate places at the test centre. The finger print of the candidate writing the examination will be recorded and later verified at the time of counselling.
• The Admit Card should be preserved and produced for verification at the time of counselling / admission.
• Candidates are not eligible for admission in case the applicant violates any instruction or involves unfair means in the examination hall.

• Visit the official website of VITMEE – vit.ac.in
• Click on the VITMEE 2023 admit card link.
• Enter the application number and date of birth.
• VITMEE 2023Admit Card will appear on the screen.
• Check the details and download the hall ticket.
• Take a printout for future reference.

VIT will announce the VITMEE 2023 result in online mode at the official website.

Steps to check the VITMEE 2023 Result

• Visit the official website of VITMEE – vit.ac.in
• Click on the VITMEE result link 
• Enter login credentials namely application form number and date of birth
• Click on the ‘Submit’ button
• Download the VITMEE scorecard and take a printout for future reference. 

VITMEE 2023 Counselling

• Candidates will be short-listed for online counselling on the basis of their performance in the VIT Master’s Entrance Examination (VITMEE) Rank.
• Short-listed candidates should pay Rs.1 lakh towards advance fee.
• If the candidate withdrawn their admission the processing fees of Rs. 11,800/- will be deducted from the advance fee, but it will be adjusted in the tuition fees once the candidate joins the Institute.
• The candidate’s name will be removed from the admission list, if he / she fails to pay the advance.
