Eligibility Criteria for VIT Vellore MSc Admission 2022
- Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply
- Candidate should be Resident Indian National
- The Admission will be on the basis of the performance in the qualifying examination UG(or its equivalent)

| M.Sc Physics | B.Sc with Physics/ Applied Sciences with minimum 60% marks (Inclusive of all subjects). |
| M.Sc Chemistry (with specialization in Analytical/ Inorganic/ Organic/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ General Chemistry) | B.Sc in either chemistry or applied chemistry or Applied Science with Physics or Mathematics/ B. Pharm (or) Biology/ Botany/ Zoology as ancillary subjects with minimum 60% marks (Inclusive of all subjects). |
| For M.Sc Applied Microbiology, M.Sc. Biomedical Genetics, M.Sc Biotechnology | B.Sc. in any branch of biological science that includes Botany/ Zoology, Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Nutrition or Home Science/ Agricultural Science/ Medicine with minimum 60% marks (Inclusive of all subjects). |
| M.Sc. Business Statistics | Undergraduate in Mathematics/ Statistics /Computer Science/Business/Commerce/Economics/Engineering with minimum 60% marks (Inclusive of all subjects) and should have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects in +2 and degree level. |
| M.Sc Data Science | Under graduation in Mathematics/ Computer Science/ / Physics/Statistics or UG Degree in Engineering or Technology in CSE/IT/ECS/EEE/E&I with minimum 60% marks (Inclusive of all subjects). |
The aggregate marks in UG Degree relaxed by 10% i.e. 50% for –
- Applicants belonging to SC/ST category.
- Applicants hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Manipur, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
Applicants from Open University/ Correspondence mode are not eligible.
