Eligibility Criteria

• Masters or MPhil degree in relevant subject.
• Research Entrance Test (RET) will be held for candidates without NET/SET/MPhil.

University of Calcutta PhD English Admission 2022 Application Process

• Application Form should be downloaded from the University website and the filled in form, along with relevant supporting documents, should be submitted to the Department of English (Teachers Room, Asutosh Building, 2nd floor) after payment of the fee at the CU cash counter/through SBI collect.
• The applications should reach the university in a sealed envelope, clearly stating “Application – PhD in English” on it. It should be addressed to the Head, Department of English.
