UBKV PhD Admission 2022-23 Important Dates

Eligibility Criteria for UBKV PhD Admission 2022-23

• Consistently good academic records with Master’s Degree in Agriculture /Horticulture / Forestry Science having at least 65% marks or an OGPA of 6.5 out of 10.00 or 3.75 out of 5.00 or 3.0 out of 4.00 or 2.25 out of 3.00 for general and OBC category (for SC/ST/PH candidate 60 % marks or OGPA 6.0 out of 10.00 or 3.44 out of 5.00 or 2.75 out of 4.00 or 2.06 out of 3.00) in Master’s degree programme from any recognized Indian/Foreign University followed by Bachelors’ Degree in Agricultural / Horticultural / Forestry Science under 10+2+4 or 10+1+4 or 11+4.
• Experience of Dissertation in University / Institute for at least one year.
• Minimum age for admission is 23 years as on 31/12/2022.
• Students passed with three years Bachelor degree course are not eligible.
• Students who obtain their Master Degree from any Private University where the particular Faculty/College is not accredited by ICAR are not eligible for admission to Ph.D. Programme.

Scholarship

• State Merit Scholarship will be offered to the admitted state domiciled candidates as per merit panel in descending order and availability of scholarship under the respective Department.

The final admission will be conducted strictly on the basis of merit and according to the position in the merit list.

The Score shall be calculated as per following table

UBKV PhD Entrance Test 2022 Deatils

• The Entrance Test for admission to Ph. D. degree course in a discipline of Agriculture/ Horticulture / Forestry for Research Scholar, In-service Research Scholar and Project Fellow of session 2022-23 will be held on 03/11/2022 (tentatively) from 11:00 am onward as per ICAR syllabus of concerned M.Sc. Courses.
• Duration of the Test – 1 hour;
• Total marks – 60
• Questions pattern: MCQ type Questions with four alternatives, each of 1 marks (60×1=60).
• Qualifying marks of the Entrance Test – 35 % for General, OBC-A & OBC-B categories and 30% for SC, ST categories of the Test.
• There will be negative marks for MCQ is 0.25 for each wrong answer.
• The syllabus for entrance test in Ph.D. (Agriculture), Ph.D. (Horticulture) and Ph.D. (Forestry) is available in the University Website.
