SPUVVN PhD Admission 2022-23 (Second Session) Eligibility Criteria

• Online applications are invited for admission to Ph.D. programme from the candidates who have qualified in UGC-CSIR / (JRF) / Examination/ NET / SLET /GSET / GATE / GPAT / ICAR / INSPIRE / Teacher Fellowship / JEST or have secured such any Other national level fellowship for research or hold teacher fellowship or M.Phil. degree (Who has admitted through university entrance test and produce 2009 or 2016, Equivalent Certificate of the time of verification) and those who have already cleared Ph.D. Entrance Test of this University conducted on 28-12-2016 and onwards.
• Applicants seeking admission to Degrees of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) of the Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar, should hold recognized Master’s degree or a degree recognized equivalent of Master’s degree, with at least 55% in aggregate or equivalent marks/grades, to be eligible. SC/ST/OBC candidate will get 5% relaxation. SC/ST/OBC candidates are required relevant certificate produce at the time of verification.

• Online Application form is available from the University website www.spuvvn.edu/academic_programs /phd/ from 21-02-2023 to 04-03-2023. The hard copy of online application form duly completed in all respect (alongwith all educational mark sheets and other required documents) should be verify and submit forms in person to Room No. 118, University Offoce, Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar before 07-03-2023 4.00 p.m.
• Student belong to the Out of Gujarat State University (OTG) and are not able to appear in person to submit the application form at SPU help centre, they can submit their forms alongwith necessary documents by Registered / Speed Post in such a way that it should be reached to The Registrar, Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar latest by 09-03-2023 4.00 p.m. In case of incomplete Application form, Insufficient documents after due date they shall be summarily rejected.
• Fees for Non Entrance test category UGC-CSIR /(JRF) Examination / NET / SLET / GSET /GATE /GPAT / ICAR / INSPIRE / Teacher Fellowship / JEST or have secured such any Other national level fellowship for research or hold teacher fellowship or M.Phil. degree / Entrance Cleared) is Rs. 300/- (Non Refundable).
• A candidates having M.Phil degree (shall produce certificate of equivalence as per UGC2009/2016 regulations from concerned university) or UGC-CSIR / (JRF) / Examination / NET / SLET / GSET / GATE /GPAT / ICAR / INSPIRE / Teacher Fellowship / JEST or have secured such any Other national level fellowship for research or hold teacher fellowship or M.Phil. degree and those who have already cleared Ph.D. entrance test on 28-12-2016 and onwards need to fill up under Non Entrance Test Category.

Steps to Fill Application Form

• The applicant will need a personal E-mail ID.
• Keep ready on hand a scanned photograph of Maximum 150 kb in jpg Format.
• For Registration click on Apply Now and Select the appropriate Faculty, Programme. Read the Terms and Conditions, and click on I Agree, and then click on register on to register on a Ph.D. programme.
• Complete the section on Personal Details, upload photograph in jpg Format, and click on Save & Proceed button. Saving will ensure Registration.
• The Application No. and Password will be sent to the applicants e-mail ID, which he/she can access in order to continue further with the procedure. (Note: Having completed the Registration, the applicant is advised to change the Password using the Change Password option.)
• Return to the main page, and click on Fill & Edit Application Form, by providing Application No. and Password e-mailed to the e-mail ID to complete the application form there onwards.
• Click Edit Application. Complete the sections on Personal Details, Criteria Details, Academic Details, and Attachment Details.
• Read Criteria details for SPU, OUG, OTG in their full form, and choose the relevant option.
• Complete the necessary Postal Details, and make sure to provide Mobile/Contact Number in this section.
• Go to the section on Academic Details. Click Add Qualifications to provide the details of Post Graduation degree. Click the Edit button if there is a need for making any change or modification.
• Kindly tick mark in relevant field in Attachment details.
• Having filled all the relevant details in the Application Form, click the Save & Exit button to get details of Registration Status.
• Modify, if necessary, the Application Form before its submission it for its further processing.
• Click on Submit Application Form. Read the Declaration and the relevant information (Undertaking) and click I Agree. Then click the Submit Application Form button. No request for modification of the Application Form will be entertained thereafter.
• Follow the payment online method and make a payment and take a print-out. Application Forms submitted without application fee will not be entertained at all.
• Check the Application Summary to ascertain that Application Form has all the information, take a print-out of the Application Form.
