SKMU Dumka PhD Admission 2022 Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. program shall have a Master’s degree with at least 55% of marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
• A relaxation of 5% of marks or an equivalent relaxation of grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/ Person with Disability (PwD) as per UGC guidelines.
• Candidates with UGC/CSIR-JRF/NET/SLET/GATE are exempted from appearing in the entrance exam but each need to fill the application form for Ph.D program.

• Applicants need to download and fill the application form, and for payment go to the payment link.
• Applications with payment receipt are to be submitted to the following e-mail id: skmu.dsw@gmail.com within 10^th February 2022.

Admission Process

• The eligible candidates will have to appear for Ph.D Entrance Test (PET).
• List of candidates eligible for Ph.D Entrance test (PET) will be displayed on the University website within ten working days from the last date of submission of application.

Exemption from Entrance Test

• Candidates with UGC/CSIR-JRF/NET/SLET/GATE are exempted from appearing in the entrance exam but each need to fill the application form for Ph.D program.

Notice (02 March 2022) –

All those applicants who have applied for Ph.D. entrance2022 at Sido Kanhu Murmu University, Dumka and qualified UGC-CSIR NET/JRF/GATE or any other equivalent entrance exam till date are directed to send their information & related certificate/document to the email address : skmu.dsw@gmail.com

Such candidates will be considered under exemption category in written
examination for Ph.D. entrance test2022.

PhD Entrance Test (PET) Details

• A written test will be held for 100 marks.
• The questions for the Entrance Test will be based on M.A/M.Sc/M.Com syllabus.
• The entrance test will be offline mode of the duration 2:30 hours.
• It will consist of 50% marks question from research methodology and remaining 50% from core subject as per UGC guidelines.
• Qualifying marks for Entrance test- 45% for general category and 40% OBC and 35% for SC/ST & PWDs.

Question Pattern

There will be one paper of PET examination consisting of 100 marks and paper will contained three sections:

Section B (Short questions from research methodology (maximum 100 words)

Section C (Short questions from Core subject (maximum 100 words)
