Eligibility Criteria for Sharda University PhD Admission 2023 (Jan)

  • Post-graduation (PG) degree or equivalent of minimum duration of 2 years in respective discipline with a score of minimum 55% or equivalent CGPA from a UGC recognized Indian / foreign university.
  • A 5% relaxation in score for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
  • Candidates with valid selection from NET / GATE / SET / UET / any other equivalent test conducted by GOI accredited agency (to be decided by the selection committee) are exempted from the entrance test but have to appear in the interview. M.Phil. degree holders from UGC accredited universities are also exempted from entrance tests.

Sharda University PhD Admission 2023 (Jan) Application Process

  • Application form is available in the official website of Sharda University www.sharda.ac.in
  • Applications are invited on prescribed application form only which can be filled online/collecting hard copy from University/downloading application and sending complete form along with the Demand Draft of Rs.1500/- (One Thousand Two Hundred Only) in favour of Sharda University, payable at Greater Noida.
  • Application Fee – Rs. 1500/-

Selection Process

  • Admissions to various Ph.D. programs (full-time and part-time) in 2023 (Jan) of Sharda University will be made strictly according to merit and availability of seats through Entrance Test followed by Interview.
  • Candidates with valid selection from NET / GATE / SET / UET / any other equivalent test conducted by GOI accredited agency (to be decided by the selection committee) are exempted from entrance test but have to appear in interview. M.Phil. degree holders from UGC accredited universities are also exempted from entrance test but have to appear in interview.

Sharda University PhD Entrance Exam Details

  • The online Entrance test will have 70 MCQ to evaluate knowledge in core subject (50) and research aptitude (20) for a total of 70 marks
  • Entrance test will be followed by interview for 30 marks.
  • Syllabi of the core subjects are of PG level in respective disciplines / subjects.
  • Entrance test and interview for the admission to Ph.D. program shall be conducted in online mode however, classes for full time and part time scholars shall be conducted in physical and blended mode, respectively.
