RINPAS Ranchi Admission 2022 Eligibility Criteria

• Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology
  • Diploma/M.Phil. in Medical and Social Psychology or Clinical Psychology (2 years).
• Ph.D. in Psychiatric Social Work
  • DPSW/M.Phil. in Psychiatric Social Work (2 years).
• M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology
  • M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology of a recognised University with minimum 55% marks in the aggregate (as per RCI guidelines).
• M.Phil. in Psychiatric Social Work
  • M.A. Social Work of a recognised University with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. 

RINPAS Ranchi Admission 2022 Application Process

• Detailed information is available in RU website- www.ranchiuniversity.ac.in
• Downloaded duly filled in application form will be submitted in the office of Controller of Examinations, RU, Ranchi latest by 13/04/2022.
• Application received after 13/04/2022 will not be accepted in any condition.
• Candidates must enclose self attested photocopy of their final year mark sheet (P.G. Course/ M.Phil. as applicable) and other relevant documents with the application form.

Application Fee

• A non refundable Original Demand Draft of Rs. 1200/- (Rs. 600/- only in case of ST/SC Candidates of Jharkhand) drawn in favour of Registrar, Ranchi University, Ranchi payable at Ranchi should be enclosed alongwith the application form. 

Selection Process

• Entrance Examination.

Entrance Exam Details

• Question booklet will consist of hundred multiple-choice type questions based on prescribed syllabus at PG level of University at National level.
• Entry in examination hall is prohibited without a valid Admit Card that will be provided after scrutiny of application form and fulfilling eligibility criteria.
• Candidate should enter into the examination hall half an hour before the commencement of examination.
• Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination hall before completion of specified time.
• Candidates are not allowed to carry any electronics gazette inside examination hall.
• Candidates must follow the instructions given by the Invigilators.
• Approach the Invigilator in the room for any technical assistance, first aid emergency or any other information during the course of examination.
• Hand over the answer sheet to the invigilator before leaving Examination hall.
• No TA/DA will be provided to the applicants / accompanying members by the Institute to appear in the entrance examination.
• Bring Blue / Black Ball Pen to fill the circle provided on the OMR sheet.

Important Points

For Ph.D. Candidates

• The cut off mark will be 50% for General & OBC candidates and 45% for SC & ST candidates and the committee have the right to decide about the cut off marks if significant no. of candidates does not able to secure minimum cut off marks in each category.
• Only Post M.Phil. candidates can apply for Ph.D.
• 2 (two) marks will be awarded for each correct answer and 1 (one) mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

For M.Phil. Candidates

• Candidate will be declared qualified in entrance examination on merit basis following roaster of Ranchi University/Jharkhand Govt.
• 2 (two) marks will be awarded for each correct answer and 1 (one) mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• Practical examination on the day of interview (Practical/Viva-voce) is mandatory as per Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) norms for all the candidates after qualifying the written examination.
• Final selection of the candidates will be done on merit basis as per the performance in entrance examination and interview (Practical/Viva-voce).
