Noida International University PhD Admissions 2022-23 (Jan) Eligibility Criteria

• Master’s degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
• M.Phil. Course work with minimum 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade and successfully completing the M.Phil.

Noida International University PhD Admissions 2022-23 (Jan) Application Process

• Forms are available on the university website (www.niu.edu.in), which can be submitted along with Online Payment or Demand Draft of Rs. 1100/- .
• All applications must be submitted online.
• The applicant can download a copy of the submitted application form from the application submission portal and furnish hardcopy of the application form with photograph and all the documentary evidence in original (testimonials, certificates, publications, work experience and research/professional experience) at the time of interview.
• Incomplete applications will be rejected.

Selection Process

• Admission to PhD. Program shall be based on merit obtained in entrance test and interview.
• The candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/ UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/ SLET/ GATE are exempted from written test and directly qualify for the interview.
• Entrance test shall be qualifying with qualifying marks as 50%.
• Final merit list will be prepared by adding marks obtained in the entrance test (70 % out of 100 marks of entrance test and 30 % marks to the interview obtained (as per latest UGC regulations).
• The interview will be based on allotment of marks as per the following criteria
  • Competency of candidate – 10 marks
  • Feasibility/suitability of plan – 10 marks
  • Novelty of Plan – 10 marks
• Relaxation in entrance examination and merit list for qualifying the entrance examination would be given to the candidates (as per latest UGC regulations).

Entrance Details

The eligible candidates will be called for an entrance test on the notified date and time. Subsequently, a personal interaction with the expert panel will be held to judge the research aptitude in the candidate and also to consider applicant’s proposed research area(s).
