Seats for teachers of constituent colleges of LNMU shall be over and above the vacancy shown above.

Eligibility Criteria for LNMU Darbhanga PhD Admission 2021-22

• A candidate seeking admission to the Ph.D. Programme should have a Master’s Degree with at least 55% Marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in the s:ubject/ in allied subject from a recognized University.
• A relaxation of 5% of marks i.e. from 55% to 50% or an equivalent relaxation of grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/BC/EBC/EWS/Differently-abled categories of candidates.

LNMU Darbhanga PhD Admission 2021-22 Application Process

• Candidates are required to visit University Website www.Inmu.ac.in and follow the PAT-2021- 22 link available on the main page of the website to fill-up the Admission Application Form.
• Duly filled-up and completed forms can be submitted online along with necessary supporting documents and requisite Test Fee.
• Application Form incomplete in any respect will be rejected.

Selection Process

• Selection will be based on the PhD Admission Test (PAT) 2021-22 and Interview.
• 20% of the seat in a subject shall be reserved for NET/JRF/DST-INSPIRE Candidates.

Exemption from the PAT 2021-22

• A candidate who has passed NET/JRF/BET/PAT-2019/PAT-2020 of LNMU and/ or has secured grants for research such as fellowship/ scholarships offered by DBT/ICMR/ICAR/DST/CSSIR/ICHR etc. will be exempted from Ph.D. Admission Test.
• Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor who have been appointed on a substantive post in the UGC Pay scale in the teaching Department of the University or a Constituent College of this University, who have completed their probation successfully, with an experience of at least of two years of uninterrupted service would be exempted from the written Test. Teachers appointed in self-finance Courses and teachers belonging to those colleges running on a self-finance basis will not be exempted from the Test.
• Non-teaching employees of this University, who are holding substantive appointments for more than five years and have secured at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree in the subject concerned, and who have published at least two research papers in any reputed referred journals or journals identified by the UGC would also be exempted from the written Test.

Note:

• Candidates exempted from PAT 2021-22 are also required to apply online with requisite fee.
• Candidates of exempted categories will have to appear directly before the interview board as per schedule, along with candidates who have qualified PAT-2021-22.

LNMU Darbhanga PhD Admission Test (PAT) 2021-22 Details

Exam Pattern

PhD Admission Test (PAT) will consist of two papers of 100 marks each

PhD Admission Test Schedule

• Date: 02.03.2023 ( Thursday)
• Test of both the papers will be held in a single sitting of two hours and forty-five minutes i.e. from 11:00 AM to 01:45 PM.
• Question Booklet along with OMR Sheet of Paper-I will be given to the examinees on 11.00 AM. On completion of one hour and fifteen minutes (i.e. at 12.15 PM) candidates will be required to submit their OMR Answer Sheet of Paper-I.
• After that, question booklet of Paper-II will be issued to them. They will have to submit the OMR Sheet of Paper-II on completion of another one hour and fifteen minutes (i.e. at 01:45 PM)

Test Centre

• Test will be held in Darbhanga at different centers, which will be communicated to the candidates properly on time.
