Jadavpur University offers one year Post MSc Diploma Course in Medical Physics for the academic year 2022-23 offered by Department of Physics, Jadavpur University in Collaboration with Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute, Kolkata.

Number of Seats – 10

Course Duration – One Year

Class Hours – 5 PM to 9 PM (Mainly)

Course Content –

Students will be trained in the safe use of radiation and radioisotopes in Medicine, Medical Research and other relevant fields. The course contents covers:

  • Radiation Physics
  • Radiation Biology
  • Radiation Chemistry
  • Electronics and Instrumentation
  • Statistics
  • Computational methods

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum 55% marks in M. Sc. (Physics) or equivalent examination (for foreign candidates) with Physics as major/honours at B.Sc. level.
  • Relaxation of 25% (on 55%) in marks will be allowed to SC/ST candidates
  • Relaxation of 10% (on 55%) in marks will be allowed to the foreign candidates and to the candidates working in the field of Radiotherapy/Medical Physics for at least one year

  • Completed forms should be submitted to the office of the Secretary, Faculty of Science, Jadavpur University, Kolkata -700032, W.B. either by hand or by post. A scanned softcopy of the filled application form should  be mailed to admn.medphys2122@gmail.com.
  • Application form must be accompanied by self-attested copies of
    • Final Mark sheets of B. Sc. and M. Sc.(or equivalent) Examination
    • Age verification certificate,
    • Reserved Category Certificate
    • Income certificate(s).
