IIT JAM 2022 Eligibility Criteria

IIT JAM 2022 Eligibility Criteria – Joint Admission Test is a gateway for your dreams to pursue MSc from IITs, IISc, NITs etc. To apply for the exam, one must ensure the minimum requisite criteria set for IIT JAM 2022 as the first stage to filter out the suitable candidates.

Latest – JAM 2022 Eligibility Criteria will be available soon. Check below the tentative JAM 2022 Eligibility Criteria.

IIT JAM 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check the eligibility criteria for IIT JAM 2022 before you fill the form.

The candidates who qualify in JAM 2022 shall have to fulfill the following Eligibility Requirements (ERs) for admissions to IITs.

  • All candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree.
  • The aggregate marks or CGPA/CPI in the qualifying degree (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) without rounding-off should be minimum 55% or 5.5 in scale of 10 for General/ EWS/OBC (NCL) category candidates, and 50% or 5.0 in scale of 10 for SC/ST/PwD category candidates.
  • Foreign nationals with Indian degree are eligible to apply, subject to the admitting institute’s policy.

If CPI/CGPA is on a different scale then it would be linearly mapped to a scale on 10.

For Candidates with letter CGPA/grades instead of percentage of marks, the equivalence in percentage of marks will be decided by the Admitting Institute(s).

Proof of having passed the Qualifying Degree as specified by the Admitting Institute with the Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQ) should be submitted by September, 2022.
