Eligibility Criteria

• The minimum qualifications for admissions to Ph.D. program shall be a Master’s Degree with 55% marks or equivalent grade/CGPA or equivalent qualification recognized by the University.
• A relaxation of 5 percent may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently abled candidates. The University shall admit applicants to Ph.D. degree program through Entrance Test conducted by it.
• Applicants who have qualified UGC- NET/SLET/GATE/GPAT candidate in the relevant discipline shall be exempted from the Entrance Test.

Subject Wise Requirements

• Ph.D Physics : M.Sc. in Physics with 55% marks or equivalent CGPA along with UGC-CSIR NET / SLET/ IU HP Entrance examination as per UGC Guidelines.
• Ph.D Mathematics : Master Degree in Mathematics with 55% marks or equivalent CGPA along with UGC-CSIR NET/ SLET/ IU HP Entrance examination as per UGC Guidelines.
• Ph.D Computer Science & Engineering : Two-year postgraduate degree in Computer Science / IT with 55% marks and above or equivalent CGPA, over and above a four year Undergraduate Degree along with UGC-NET / SLET qualification in a respective discipline as per UGC Guidelines.
• Ph.D Management : Two-year postgraduate degree in Management with 55% marks and above or equivalent CGPA along with UGC-NET / SLET / IU HP Entrance examination as per UGC Guidelines.
• Ph.D Commerce : Two-year postgraduate degree in Commerce discipline with 55% marks or equivalent CGPA along with UGC-NET / SLET / IU HP Entrance examination as per UGC Guidelines.
• Ph.D Economics : Two-year postgraduate degree in Economics discipline with 55% marks or equivalent CGPA along with UGC-NET / SLET / IU HP Entrance examination as per UGC Guidelines.

Important Dates

ICFAI University Baddi PhD Admissions 2022 Application Process

A) Online Application: Applicants can apply online by filling up the Application Form available at www.iuhimachal.edu. in and make payment of ₹500 towards online Registration charges by using Credit / Debit Card (Visa / Master Card/ Citibank Card) or Internet banking option using secure internet payment gateway. Applicants applying online should attach their scanned colour photograph along with the Online Application. The Prospectus will be sent to such applicants.

B) Fill the Application Form: Applicants can fill in the application form and send it to the Admissions Office.

Students have to enclose attested copies of the following certificates (Attestation should be done by any Gazetted Officer/Principal of the College).

• Please make sure that you meet the eligibility criteria before filling up the Application Form.
• Fill the Application Form in CAPITAL LETTERS.
• Provide all available information under appropriate sections.
• Make sure to sign the Application Form.
• Retain a photocopy of the completed Application Form
• Enclose a Demand Draft of ₹500 drawn in favour of “The ICFAI University, Himachal Pradesh – Fee Collection A/c” payable at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.

Attested Copies of Certificates

• Students have to submit following original certificate-Students have to enclose attested copies of the following certificates (Attestation should be done by any Gazetted Officer/Principal of the College).
  • Date of Birth Certificate /Class X Certificate
  • Marks sheets of Class XII / Diploma / Degree certificate (as may be applicable)
  • Scorecard of JEE (Main) for B.Tech / HPCET 2023 and qualifying exam for MBA.
  • Migration Certificate
  • Domicile Certificate
  • Caste Category (In case SC/ST/OBC students).
  • Any other certificates pertaining to academic and other activities.

Selection Process

• The applicants will have to go through a personal interview at the campus. This is to determine the students’ attitude and motivation to pursue the program.
• All original certificates including the Domicile certificate, Caste Category (in case of SC/ST/OBC students) should be produced for verification at the time of interview.
• The original certificates will be returned after verification.
• The admission decision will be communicated after the interview process.
• All the selected students required to pay an amount of ₹10,000 towards confirmation of seat which will be adjusted in the first semester program fee.
