About CTET
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a teacher eligibility test conducted at the national level by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It is meant to recruit teachers for both government and private schools in India. CTET exam has two levels: Level 1 is for primary teachers, and Level 2 is for upper primary and secondary teachers.

The CBSE has released the CTET 2024 Notification and the official notification on its official website. CTET 2024 exam will be conducted in two levels: Level 1 is for primary teachers, and Level 2 is for upper primary and secondary teachers on 21 January 2024.

The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the 18th edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 21 January 2024 (Sunday). The test will be conducted in twenty languages in135 cities all over the country. The online application process will start from 03 November 2023. The last date for submitting online application is 01st December 2023.

CTET 2024 (Jan) Exam Dates
The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024 (Jan Session) on 21 January 2024 (Sunday).
CTET 2024 Exam Schedule Papers 1 & 2
CTET exams are held in two shifts. The CTET timings of both shifts will be released with admit cards.
CTET 2024 (Jan) Eligibility Criteria
According to the NCTE notification, the candidates who are pursuing Teacher Training courses will be eligible to apply for the CTET Exam.

Educational Qualification for Classes 1-5
A candidate who has completed their Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% marks and cleared or appeared in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration) OR
A candidate who has completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam securing a minimum of 45% marks and has cleared or appeared in the final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration), according to the NCTE Regulations 2002. OR
A candidate who has completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with a minimum of 50% marks and has cleared or appeared in the final year exam of Bachelor of Elementary Education (4 years duration). OR
A candidate who has completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with a minimum of 50% marks and has cleared or appeared in the final year exam of Diploma in Education (2 years duration). OR
A candidate who has a Bachelor’s degree and has cleared or appeared in the final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration).
Educational Qualification for Classes 6-8
A candidate who holds a Graduation degree and has passed or is appearing in the final year examination of a Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration). OR
A candidate who has completed his/her Graduation degree with 50% marks and has cleared or appeared in the final year exam of Bachelor in Education. OR
A candidate who has completed his/her Graduation degree with 40% marks and has cleared or appeared in the final year exam of Bachelor in Education, according to NCTE regulations. OR
A candidate who has completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with a minimum of 50% marks and has cleared or appeared in the final year exam of 4 years duration Bachelor of Elementary Education. OR
A candidate who has completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with 50% marks and cleared or appearing in the final year exam of B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed. OR
A candidate who has a Graduation degree with 50% marks and has cleared or appeared in a B.Ed program of 1-year duration.

CTET 2024 (Jan) Exam Pattern
In CTET Exam, there will be two papers i.e. CTET Paper 1 & CTET Paper 2.
- Paper-I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
- Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
Candidates also have the option to apply for both Paper-I and Paper II.

CTET 2024 Admit Card
- CTET Admit Card 2024 will not be sent to the candidate via post.
- Candidates must log in to their official registered account to download the CTET December 2024 admit card pdf.
- CTET Admit card and Hall Ticket are released 10 to 20 days before the exam date.
CTET 2024 Answer Key For Papers 1 & 2
The CTET 2024 Answer Key will be released separately for CTET Paper I and CTET Paper II on the official website of CBSE a few days after the examination.
CTET 2024 Result
Central Board of Secondary Education will release the CTET January 2024 Result once the exam is conducted successfully.
The candidates can check the CTET 2024 Result on the official website. The candidate, who will be declared passed in the CTET 2024 Result, will receive CTET Certificate 2024.
CTET 2024 Certificate Validity
The validity period of the CTET – Central Teachers Eligibility Test qualifying certificate has been extended from 7 years to a lifetime with a retrospective effect from 2011.
CTET 2024 Salary
Candidates after qualifying CTET 2023 Exam will be eligible to apply for teaching jobs for Classes 1 to 8 in Central Government Schools such as NVS/KVS and other Schools etc.
CTET-qualified candidates who work as Primary Teachers (PRT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), or Post-Graduate Teachers (PGT) get handsome salary packages with additional benefits and allowances like House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), etc.
The basic salary of teachers CTET qualified teachers is between Rs. 9300 to Rs. 34800 as the basic pay. The net in-hand salary of a CTET-qualified teacher ranges from Rs. 35000 to Rs. 50000 per month.

CTET 2024 Cut-Off
CTET 2024 Cut Off Marks is 60% marks for the general category candidates. Therefore, the candidates belonging to the general category must score 90 marks out of a total of 150 marks. The CTET 2024 Cut Off Marks for the OBC category /SC category /ST category is 55% marks. In other words, candidates belonging to the OBC category, SC category, and ST category must secure 82 marks out of a total of 150 marks to become CTET qualified.
