Eligibility Criteria for EFLU Hyderabad PhD Admission 2024

• Master’s Degree holders in related field with with 55% marks for general/ OBC candidates, and 50% marks for SC/ ST/ Differently-abled category candidates (The eligibility marks may be relaxed by 5% for sponsored candidates.)

EFLU Hyderabad PhD Admission 2024 Application Process

• Candidates can apply online through the University website https://www.efluniversity.ac.in.
• The prescribed entrance test fee should only be paid online (by credit card/debit card/net-banking).
• All courses and programmes are full-time.

Hyderabad PhD Entrance Test 2024

• Students who have secured 50% marks in the Entrance Tests are eligible to be called for the interview.
• A relaxation of 5% marks will be allowed in the Entrance Examination for the candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC / Differently-abled category, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
• Please note that the prescribed cut-off percentage of marks has to be obtained in the objective test, and the interview (where applicable), as well as in the aggregate score, in order to be eligible for being considered/ shortlisted for provisional admission to a programme. Admission is based on the order of merit.

Note for UGC NET/ UGC JRF Qualified Candidates

• Candidates who have qualified the UGC NET / UGC JRF in the subject concerned are exempted from appearing in the written component of the entrance test for admission to a Ph.D. programme offered by the English and Foreign Languages University. These candidates are required to upload the UGC NET Award Letter / UGC JRF Certificate at the time of application and produce the original certificate at the time of the interview. The interview is for 30 marks. The marks that these candidates score out of 30 at the interview will be calculated out of 100 and their rank is ordered accordingly along with the marks of other candidates.
• The percentage of marks admissible to different categories as per the UGC Regulations 2022 (for award of M.Phil. / Ph.D. Degree) are applicable to these UGC NET / UGC JRF holders for all the doctoral programmes offered at the University. The candidates are required to obtain minimum cut-off marks at the interview for being considered / shortlisted for provisional admission to a Ph.D. programme. Further, the provisional admission to a doctoral programme will be based on order of merit.
• Mere claiming of UGC NET / UGC JRF without uploading the document will not entitle the candidate for exemption from the written component of the Entrance Test. No further requests in this regard will be entertained.

*Applicants are required to indicate three different cities in order of preference from the above list. They will be allotted the test city by the computer system, based on the availability of slots on a first-come-first-served basis. The test city once allotted cannot be changed under any circumstances.
