Eligibility Criteria for Central University of Rajasthan PhD Admission 2022-23

Candidates who have qualified any national level examinations (NET/JRF of UGC/CSIR, ICMR, ICAR, GATE, GPAT and DBT-JRF, etc.), sponsored candidates, teacher fellowship holders and teachers of CURAJ can apply online for various Ph.D. Programmes in Central University of Rajasthan.

ArchitectureA consistently good academic record possessing: 1. Master’s Degree in architecture/allied specialization or equivalent from any recognized institution  or  2. Bachelor’s Degree in architecture or equivalent in first class with ten years’ experience in teaching/research/professional practice. (As per the CoA norms, candidate having only a B.Arch. Degree shall in addition to the prescribed coursework for candidates with Master’s Degree be required to  pursue the course work successfully in six subjects of the Master’s Degree course of the school recommended by the research committee.)
Atmospheric  ScienceA consistently good academic record possessing a Master’s Degree in Atmospheric Science / Meteorology / Oceanography / Marine Science / Geophysics /  Mathematics / Physics / Statistics/ Environmental Sciences / Remote Sensing / Computer Science or in equivalent disciplines in subject concerned or in a cognate  / allied subject with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized University at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; 5% relaxation in  minimum requirement of marks is granted to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS candidates.

CA/CS/ICWA  qualification is considered equivalent to Post Graduation Degree.

Culture and  Media Studies A consistently good academic record possessing a Master’s Degree in any Social Science/allied discipline (Journalism & Mass Communication, Cultural Studies,  Film/Cinema Studies, Media Studies, Sociology) with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized University at both undergraduate and postgraduate  levels; 5% relaxation in minimum requirement of marks is granted to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS candidates.
Electronics and  Communication  EngineeringA consistently good academic record possessing M.E. / M. Tech. Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering/Electrical and Electronics  Engineering/Electronics and instrumentation Engineering/Electrical Engineering / allied subject or Equivalent with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade from  recognized University at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; 5% relaxation in minimum requirement of marks is granted to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS candidate.  GATE/ NET qualified students are also preferred for admission in this course.

YogaA consistently good academic record possessing a M.Sc. Degree in Yoga Therapy/Yogic Science/MD in Yoga/Naturopathy medicine/MD Ayurvedic Medicine with  minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized University at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; 5% relaxation in minimum requirement of  marks is granted to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS candidates.

Central University of Rajasthan PhD Admission 2022-23 Application Process

  • Candidates can apply through the official website of Central University of Rajasthan.
  • Duly completed application form with prescribed application fee must be submitted online within the stipulated date and time. In order to ensure that form is submitted online and the fee is transferred to the University account, PLEASE APPLY well in advance of the last date.
  • Candidates must provide their valid e-mail ID, Mobile Number and Aadhaar ID.
  • Candidates are advised to go through the eligibility criteria and area of research offered by various departments of Central University of Rajasthan before filling the online application form.
  • Candidates need to upload the readable soft copies of the required documents.
  • If a candidate applies for more than one department, then the candidate has to fill preferences among the departments.

Application Fee

  • Candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable fee of ₹ 1000/- per department (plus transaction charges and taxes as applicable) to complete online registration. If a candidate to apply for more than one department, the non-refundable fee has to be submitted accordingly.

Selection Process

  • Candidates who have qualified any national level examinations (NET/JRF of UGC/CSIR, ICMR, ICAR, GATE, GPAT and DBT-JRF, etc.), sponsored candidates, teacher fellowship holders and teachers of CURAJ can apply online for various Ph.D. Programmes.
  • All eligible candidates are required to appear for the interview/viva-voce on the notified date and time in offline mode in respective departments at Central University of Rajasthan campus.
  • Candidature for PhD admission will not be considered if the candidate fails to appear in the interview/viva-voce.
  • The interview/viva voce will be of 50 marks (presentation: 20 marks and subject-cum-research competence: 30 marks).
  • The merit list for admission shall be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in interview/viva voce among the candidates who secure at least 50% marks (45% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy layers)/EWS/Differently abled category) in interview/viva voce.

Selection Process 2021

The admission process will consist of two components

  1. An online proctored written test consisting of 3-4 descriptive general aptitude questions.
  2. An online presentation as per the given template for a maximum of 10 minutes followed by interaction (viva-voce) with the Ph.D. Admission Committee.

The combined score of the written test, the presentation and interaction (viva-voce) will be used to prepare the merit list of eligible candidates.
