Eligibility Criteria
- Master s degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master s degree by the corresponding statutory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade B in UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
- A relaxation of 5% of marks or an equivalent grade for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled and other categories.
- Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. Course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade B in UGC 7- point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed). A person who s M.Phil. Thesis has been evaluated and the viva voce is pending may be admitted provisionally to Ph.D. programme.
Exemption from Entrance Test
- Candidates who qualify UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/teacher fellowship holder or have passed M.Phil. programme (regular mode only).
TEACHING ASSISTANTSHIP (Only for Ph.D students)
- All candidates admitted in Ph.D full time programs are eligible for teaching assistantship after successfully completing their course work.
- Note: Number of teaching assistantship is subject to the availability of seats within concerned department/school.

Application form can be obtained and submitted using one of the following options:

The application fee (Non Refundable) for CTPET June 2023 is Rs. 1000/ (one thousand only).
The payment mode for submitting the application fee can be through RTGS/NEFT/Demand Draft.

Selection Process
Selection for PhD admissions will be through a two stage process
- Stage 1 – Entrance Test
- Stage 2 – Interview
Exemption from Entrance Test
- Candidates who qualify UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/teacher fellowship holder or have passed M.Phil. programme (regular mode only).
Selection Criteria
- Stage wise (Entrance and Interview) and Discipline/Program wise merit list will be prepared.
- Candidates successful in Entrance test (Stage I) will be called for interview (Stage II).
- The final selection for admission in Ph.D. will be based on the performance in the Interview subject to scoring minimum marks.
