Eligibility Criteria for CSIR-CIMFR PhD Admission 2023-24
Ph.D. (Science)
A Master’s degree in Sciences (Physics/ Chemistry/ Electronics/Geology/ Applied Geology/ Environmental Science/Biotechnology) having a valid fellowship of CSIR/ UGC-NET (JRF only) or INSPIRE or other equivalent national fellowships.
Ph.D. (Engineering)
M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc Tech. or equivalent degree in Mining/Chemical/ Electronics Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/Environmental Engineering/ Geology/ Applied Geology/ Engineering Geology/ Geophysics/ Applied Geophysics/ Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Biotechnology/ Fuel/Mineral Engg. with a good academic record and a valid CSIR/ UGC or equivalent national fellowship.
CSIR Scientists Group IV, Technical Staff Group III, Research Fellows and Project Assistants working in CSIR-CIMFR for a minimum period of one year, who fulfil the qualifications, are also eligible to apply. Such candidates will have to submit a statement of purpose along with recommendation of the proposed guide (with whom the candidate is undergoing project work and desires to undertake the thesis work) directly to the Co-ordinator of the Institute in addition to applying online form.
