ADYPU Pune PhD Admission 2022-23 Eligibility Criteria

• The minimum eligibility criteria required for admission to the Ph.D. Program is a degree in any one of the areas given below:
  • Masters in Technology or Engineering
  • Masters in Business Administration
  • One/Two years of LLM program with either at least five years of integrated LLB degree after 10+2 examination or three years LLB degree after 10+2+3 examination.
  • Masters in Media & Communication
  • Masters in Design
  • Masters in Hotel Management
  • M.Phil
• A Master’s degree with at least 55 percent marks in aggregate or equivalent. Grade B in the UGC seven-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).

Exemption from appearing in Entrance Examination

The Candidates fulfilling at least one of the following conditions will be exempted from Entrance Examination:

• Candidates qualified in UGC-NET (including JRF) UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF) /SLET /GATE (valid score) or teacher fellowship holders will be exempted from the Entrance Test for Ph.D. programme.
• Candidates who have passed M. Phil. Programme of any other university will be exempted from the Entrance Test for Ph.D. programme.

• Completed Application Forms are invited by email / Online / By Post by the Ajeenkya DY Patil University, Pune from all eligible candidates for admission to PhD programme in the University Departments Research Centers.

Admission Process

Candidate shall be admitted to Ph. D. programme by a two-stage process through: –

• Ph.D. Entrance Test: PhD Entrance Test, which shall be a qualifying examination. The Ph.D. Entrance Test will be of 100 marks with multiple choice questions. The test will carry two parts, Part I will be common for all and part ll will be subject specific.
• Interview / viva-voce: Personal interview of candidates qualifying in Entrance Test as well as Candidates exempted from Ph.D. Entrance Test, to be conducted by the respective Recognized Research Centre.

PhD Entrance Test

• ADYPU PET will be of 100 marks Test. The Entrance Test will be divided into two parts. Each part is of 50 marks.
• The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject specific.
• Standard of Passing : 50% Marks

  • Part One (Common for all Schools) : 11.30 am to 1.00 pm (1.5 hours)
  • Part Two (Subject Specific (specialization)) : 1.00 pm to 2.30 pm (1.5 hours)
