NIT Andhra Pradesh PhD Admission 2023 (Dec) Eligibility Criteria

For PhD in Engineering (Full-Time)

Master’s degree in Technology/Engineering or a Master’s degree by Research in Technology/Engineering in appropriate branches with minimum 60% aggregate marks (CGPA of 6.5) either at UG or PG level examination under UR/ OBC-NCL/EWS category. For ST/SC/ PwD candidate minimum 55% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA of 6.0 required.

Candidates should have qualified GATE / NET in the relevant fields.

For PhD in Sciences and Humanities (Full-Time)

Master’s degree in Sciences/Humanities in relevant branches with minimum 60% aggregate marks (CGPA≥6.5/10) either at UG or PG level examination for UR/ OBC-NCL/EWS category. For ST/SC/ PwD candidate minimum 55% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA of 6.0 required.

Applicant should have qualified UGC/CSIR-NET or GATE in relevant discipline.

For PhD in Engineering (Part-Time)

Applicant should be working on a Regular basis in reputed research Academic Institutions/organizations/Industries with a minimum experience of two years.

Master’s degree in Technology/Engineering or a Master’s degree by Research in Technology/Engineering in appropriate branches with minimum 60% aggregate marks (CGPA of 6.5) either at UG or PG level examination under UR/ OBC-NCL/EWS category. For ST/SC/ PwD candidate minimum 55% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA of 6.0 required.

For PhD in Sciences and Humanities (Part-Time)

Applicant should be working on a Regular basis in reputed research Academic Institutions/organizations/Industries with a minimum experience of two years.

NIT Andhra Pradesh PhD Admission 2023 (Dec) Application Process

• The candidates have to fill and submit the online application form at official website.
• The applicant should forward the soft copy of the application form, fee payment receipt and all the testimonials (merged into one file) through email to phdadmissions@nitandhra.ac.in, clearly mentioning course, branch and application number of the applicant in the subject of the email.
• The applicant should also keep the soft copy of the submitted application for future reference.
• A separate application form must be submitted for each programme/department/school/discipline.

Selection Process

• Selection will be based on the Written Test and/or Interview.
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending Written Exam and/or Interview for Ph.D./M.S. programmes.
