Eligibility Criteria for IIT Guwahati M.Tech Admission 2024

For admission to the MTech Programme, a candidate must have a Four-year Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum 6.0 CPI (Cumulative Performance Index) on 10-point scale (or 60% aggregate marks).

The CPI/Marks criteria will be relaxed by 0.5 CPI (or 5% marks) for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

IIT Guwahati M.Tech Admission 2024 Application Process

• Candidates have to apply online through the official website https://www.iitg.ac.in/
• Candidates need to register only once on the Application Portal. Under the same login, candidates can submit applications to multiple programmes and disciplines. But, application fee should be paid seperately for each application.
• Read all instructions regarding filling up online forms carefully before applying.
• Submission of online application is a three step process. Unless all the three steps are completed, the application will not be treated as complete. Incomplete applications will not be considered for processing.
  • Step-1: Personal information including the educational qualifications.
  • Step-2: Selection of programme.
  • Step-3: Online payment of application fee.

• For MTech programmes offered through COAP, selection of GATE qualified eligible candidates to Regular category will be based on the valid GATE score.
• For other categories of MTech and all other programmes, selection process involves the performace of candidates in the written test and/or interview conducted by the respective department/school/centre.

IIT Guwahati M.Tech Admission 2024 Results

Result for admission into the MTech programme for July 2024 will be announced online. Selected applicant can check and pay the requisite admission fee by visiting the Application Portal.
