Central University of Rajasthan PhD Admission 2024-25 Eligibility Criteria
Category-1: The candidates who have qualified for fellowship/scholarship in any national level examinations like CSIR-UGC-JRF/ICMR-JRF/, ICAR-JRF, and DBT-JRF etc.
Category-2: The candidates who have qualified any national level examinations like CSIR-UGCNET, GATE/GPAT (for engineering/architecture/pharmacy streams), etc. and similar National level tests, sponsored candidates, teacher fellowship holders and teachers of Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ). The candidates under this category must have the National level qualified examination certificate issued on or after dated May 01, 2023.

Central University of Rajasthan PhD Admission 2024-25 Application Process
- Candidates have to apply online on the link available at university website.
- Read instruction given there carefully before filling application form.
- Candidates must provide their valid e-mail ID, Mobile Number and Aadhaar ID.
- If a candidate wishes to apply for more than one department, the non-refundable fee has to be submitted accordingly.
Application Fee
Candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable registration fee (Rs.1000/- for UR candidates and Rs.750/- for EWS/OBC-Non-Creamy layers/SC/ST/PwD candidates) per department (plus transaction charges and taxes as applicable) to complete the online registration
Selection Process
- All the eligible candidates are required to appear for the interview/viva-voce on the notified date and time in offline mode in respective departments at CURAJ campus.
- Interview schedules for different departments will be notified on the University website (www.curaj.ac.in) along with interview guidelines.
- Candidature for Ph.D. admission will not be considered if the candidate fails to appear in the interview/viva-voce.
- The minimum qualifying marks in the interview/viva-voce is 50% marks (45% for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC (Non-Creamy layers)/ EWS/ PwD).
- The merit list for admission shall be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates.

Central University of Rajasthan PhD Entrance Details
The scheme of the Exam is as follows: As per UGC regulation “HEI may admit students through an Entrance Test conducted at the level of the individual HEI. The Entrance Test syllabus shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject specific”.
Pattern:
- The question paper consists of 100 MCQS. The examination shall be for duration of Two hours.
- The question paper shall be divided in two parts: Part-I: Research methodology (50 MCQs) and Part-II: Concerned subject (50 MCQs).
- There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
Syllabus:
- Part- I : Research Methodology (50 Marks) [For Sciences, For Social Science/Commerce & Management Programmes )
- Part- II: Subjects Concerned (50 Marks) – MCQ test for the part-II will be based on the respective subjects.

Selection Process
- All eligible candidates are required to appear for the entrance test on the notified date and time in offline mode at Central University of Rajasthan campus. Candidature for PhD admission will not be considered if the candidate fails to appear in the entrance test.
- The Entrance test syllabus consists of 50% of research methodology, and 50% of subject specific. Candidates who secure 50 % marks in the entrance test (45% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy layers)/EWS/Differently-abled category) are eligible to be called for the interview/viva voce. Details of entrance test like syllabus, pattern of exam, marking system, etc. will be displayed on the university website.
- All eligible candidates are required to appear for the interview/viva-voce on the notified date and time in offline mode in respective departments at Central University of Rajasthan campus.
- Interview schedules for different departments will be notified on the University website along with interview guidelines. Interview will be conducted in offline mode only.
- Candidates who secure 50 % marks in the interview/viva voce (45% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy layers)/ EWS/Differently-abled category) are eligible for admission.
- For preparing the final merit list, a weightage of 70 % for the entrance test and 30 % for the performance in the interview/viva- voce will be given for admission.

Selection Process 2021
The admission process will consist of two components
- An online proctored written test consisting of 3-4 descriptive general aptitude questions.
- An online presentation as per the given template for a maximum of 10 minutes followed by interaction (viva-voce) with the Ph.D. Admission Committee.
The combined score of the written test, the presentation and interaction (viva-voce) will be used to prepare the merit list of eligible candidates.
