Central University of Jharkhand PhD Admission 2023-24 Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s degree programme or qualification declared equivalent to the master’ degree/ M.Phil. in relevant subjects (see program specific eligibility criteria in table given below). with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed or equivalent qualification form a foreign educational institution accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country to access, accredit or assure quality and standards of the educational institution.
- A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade will be allowed for those belonging or SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) / Differently abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories. The relaxation in marks is subject to the decisions by the University Grants Commission (UGC) India, from time to time.

Central University of Jharkhand PhD Admission 2023-24 Selection Process
Through Entrance Test
University will conduct PhD entrance test for the admission in Ph.D. program for the academic session 2023-24 in the name of Central University of Jharkhand Research Entrance Test 2023 (CUJRET-2023).
Interview Process
All candidates must secure minimum 50% marks in the entrance test for becoming eligible for interview.
A relaxation of 5% marks will be allowed in the entrance test for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/differently-able category, Economy weaker section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the UGC from time to time.
The final information regarding the date of interview will be notified on the University’s website. Candidates are advised to keep visiting the University website regularly.
Performance Evaluation Weightage
For candidates taking admission through direct mode:
- Fixed weightage for NET (with JRF): 70 Marks
- Fixed weightage for NET (without JRF): 50 marks
- Interview: 30 Marks
For candidates who have qualified examination conducted by CUJ:
- Marks obtained in Entrance test: 70%
- Interview: 30%

Entrance Test syllabus shall consist as per following:

Central University of Jharkhand PhD Admission 2023-24 Application Process
- Applications may be filled and submitted ONLINE through the link available at university website.
- Candidates are required to upload recent passport size photograph, scanned signature and scanned copies of other supporting documents.
- After successful submission of online application, a print-out of the same along with supporting documents, should be retained by the candidate and same to be produced along with documents at the time of interview in front of the PhD. Admission Interview committee.
- Read the instructions and guidelines carefully before filling and submitting the online form.
