BCKV UG Admission 2023-24 Eligibility Criteria

For candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) from WBCHSE and other boards (CBSE, ICSE/ISC, etc.):

  • Passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • The marks of Alternative English shall not be considered.
  • Percentage of marks: At least 70% marks in aggregate in the aforementioned 4 subjects for General/OBC/Sports quota candidates and 60% marks for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
  • Note: This criteria may not be applicable for ICAR candidates.

For candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) from WBSCVE&T (Vocational stream):

  • Passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) with English, Biology (Compulsory academic elective), Physics or Chemistry (Compulsory/Optional elective), and any 2 of the following vocational subjects related to Agriculture and Horticulture.
    • Subject Codes: PPFV, POFR, POVG, HNMG, FMAP, CNMG, SEPR, PHMG, POFC.
  • The marks of Alternative English shall not be considered.
  • Percentage of marks: At least 70% marks in aggregate in the aforementioned 5 subjects for General/OBC Candidates and 60% for SC/ST candidates.
  • Note: This criteria may not be applicable for ICAR candidates.

All the candidates must be a permanent domicile of West Bengal. In case of ICAR’s nominees, this clause will not be applicable.

Selection Process

  • Candidates will be selected on the basis of Merit.
  • ICAR Quota Seats will be filled up through All India Entrance Examination, CUET (ICAR-UG)-2023 conducted by NTA and as per norms of the Viswavidyalaya.
